Planting Cedrela trees in Brazil
Arbopals Inc. believes strongly that planting trees, reducing our overall consumption, and using our precious natural resources wisely, are among the best ways to begin to solve the crisis of global warming and help end environmental degradation.
Taking our inspiration from the United Nations Environmental Programme and other internationally recognized initiatives, Arbopals helps children, their friends, their parents and their extended families plant trees around the world. Planting trees—lots of trees—is an important, direct and fun way to help clean our air and water.

The United Nations states that to make up for the loss of trees in the past decade alone, we need to plant “approximately 14 billion trees every year for 10 consecutive years. This would require each person to plant and care for at least two seedlings a year.” That’s a lot of trees, and Arbopals is committed to helping plant trees in many counties around the world!
As Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement, winner of the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize, and Patron of the United Nations Environment Programme says: “When we plant trees, we plant the seeds of peace and seeds of hope.”

At Arbopals:
- We work with organizations, not-for-profits and other groups to plant trees and forests. Some of these groups are small and local, while some are large, umbrella groups that do important work in various countries around the world. The organizations we partner with and support are responsible and accountable.
- We encourage our partners to use native species and to promote biodiversity.
- We encourage our partners to work with and learn from the expertise of local populations.
- We support other carbon reduction options, including the funding of energy efficient equipment and businesses that sell low-carbon technology.
- Although we support the work of transparent, science-based and conscientious carbon credit, carbon offset and carbon sequestration companies, we are not in that business. You should not believe any company that claims Arbopals is helping them reduce their carbon footprint.
- As Arbopals expands, we will explore other initiatives, including investing in and supporting alternative forms of power and other environmentally friendly practices.
